    Supported Platforms for Integrated Backup/Recovery

WebNative Archive integrates with two types of third-party backup and recovery software. The backend software you need is determined by the WebNative server platform that you use:

Macintosh OS X Intel, Linux, Sun Sparc-Solaris
FlashNet, from Software Generation Ltd. (SGL), is the backup software that integrates with WebNative Archive on Unix servers. A license for FlashNet and one FlashNet Jukebox Module (which provides control for a single tape changer with up to 40 slots and 2 drives) is included with your purchase of a new license of WebNative Archive on Unix. Additional modules for different sized tape-changers and high-speed device support can be purchased as needed to add archiving capacity. For more information, see our FlashNet page.

    Microsoft Windows
Backup Exec from Symantec is the backup software required for integration with WebNative Archive on Windows servers. A license for Backup Exec is not included with WebNative Archive but can be purchased from Symantec or through your Authorized Xinet Integrator.
