System Requirements for WebNative Suite

Overview

Xinet® WebNative® Suite runs on the following server platforms:

 
  • Apple Macintosh OS X (10.3.x PPC, 10.4.x PPC and Intel, 10.5.x Intel)
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003
  • Red Hat Linux 3, 4, and 5 (either AS or ES), supported on processors
    using the x86 instruction set. (64 bit is supported on Red Hat 4 and
    Red Hat 5.)
  • Silicon Graphics Altix
  • Sun Microsystems Sparc-Solaris 7, 8, 9, and 10

    Xinet WebNative Portal software can be installed on any of the following machines and will interact with WebNative Suite servers of all platform types above:

     
  • Apple Macintosh OS X (10.4.x PPC and Intel, 10.5.x Intel)
  • Fedora Linux Core 4 and later
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server SP4 (or later) and Windows 2003 Server SP1 (or later)
  • Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5

    The following technical features are included with the purchase of your WebNative Suite server license:

    The WebNative Suite license provides an unrestricted number of Web user-accounts. These Web users access WebNative Suite using any current standard Web browser application on Macintosh clients or Microsoft Windows-compatible PC clients. The WebNative Suite license permits a fixed number of concurrent Macintosh production users to connect over AFP and mount a server volume onto their Mac client desktops. Four Macintosh production users are included with WebNative Suite; production users can be added to the license as needed.

    Upon optional enrollment in PC Support, an unlimited number of Windows production users can connect to WebNative Suite over SMB onto the Windows client desktop.

    The WebNative Suite license provides an unrestricted number of metadata fields on the server, an unrestricted number of files on the server, and an unrestricted amount of data on the server (within the limits of the customer's hardware, RAID size, and hard drive size).
