Xinet Releases XTensions to Support QuarkXPress 8


BERKELEY, California – September 17, 2008 – Xinet®, Inc., the leader in digital asset management (www.xinet.com), today announced the release of Xinet’s XTensions® to support QuarkXPress® 8, the latest release of Quark’s flagship product. Xinet customers will now be able to utilize the Xinet XTensions to integrate QuarkXPress—one of the most widely used design and layout tools today—into their Xinet server workflow and help speed production.

“Xinet is committed to working with our technology partners to make sure that the Xinet WebNative Suite is versatile, reliable, and up-to-date with the latest releases," said Xinet CEO Scott Seebass. “The Xinet XTensions enable our customers to easily integrate QuarkXPress 8 with the power of Xinet’s WebNative Suite.”

The Xinet XTensions include:

  • FullPress® XT—enhances the use of QuarkXPress 8 with Xinet’s FullPress prepress server software

  • Picture Wrangler® XT—automatically finds and relinks images that have been moved off-site for layout, proofing, or other purposes. It also enables QuarkXPress 8 users the ability to “Collect for Output” for either the high resolution or the FPO images in a document

  • WebNative® XT—creates previews for documents that can be viewed through WebNative and contain links to images used in the document

  • Annotator XT—works in conjunction with FullPress print queues and enables users to create PDFs that contain interactive links to images that reside on the FullPress/WebNative server
